Research within de Vrijplaats
In the Vrijplaats, Jeanine investigates facts about the lives of enslaved children in all kinds of sources, from films, archives, various publications and literature. Several informative items have been made about the history of slavery for children, but it is also time for a children’s film on this charged subject from the perspective of young people themselves. Her ultimate goal is therefore to develop a film script (and ultimately a film) about this cruel history for children aged 8-12 that is accessible and informative, but also manageable without compromising reality.
