Josine Immoos works as a costume designer/stylist for feature films, documentaries, TV series, and commercials. Since graduating from the Netherlands Film Academy (AHK) in 2015, she has been actively involved in the Dutch film industry and international co-productions. She has done costume design for various feature films, including ‘Electric Child’ (currently in post-production), ‘Buladó’ (winner of the Golden Calf for Best Feature Film), and ‘Moloch,’ and has also contributed to documentaries such as ‘De droevige Kampioen’ (documentary series) and various commercials.
During the ‘Vrijplaats op Maat’, Josine aims to conduct historical research on costumes in former Dutch colonies, encompassing both the attire of the Dutch and that of the indigenous population or enslaved individuals. She wants to explore the balance between historical accuracy and creative freedom in costume design.
