FilmForward Vrijplaats Residency 2020: The new wilderness

The first edition of the FilmForward Vrijplaats Residency revolves around the theme of ‘The New Wilderness’. This new wilderness entails all that can be found beyond the boundaries of how cinematic stories and audio-visual products are currently conceived and produced. That is a world that is rapidly changing and evolving. Technological developments, climate change, social issues, questions concerning diversity, inclusion and representation, as well as the current corona crisis accelerate this change even more. Is the future digital, online, blended? And what consequences does this have for what we call realistic, real, true and authentic?

Through joint seminars and master classes we will embark on an adventure in that new wilderness, looking for the future of storytelling for all screens.
