Created by – Open Sessions offers the possibility to attend the plenary sessions of the Created By workshop. These sessions consist of presentations, master classes and panel discussions, in which creators and other experts share their experiences and vision.

Director Licensing and Creative Talent Development Chris Mack explains how to pitch a series for Netflix and we talk with experts about the importance of inclusion and diversity for the audience reach of Dutch series. In the last two sessions, we delve deeper into the role of the creator for production and post-production such as budgeting for a series, supervising the editing, and working with VFX.

Tuesday October 20: 19:00 – 22:00 (online session opens at 18:45)
Everything begins and ends with the story. During this first day, our participants will learn how to take the ideas for a series that are in their heads and put it on paper in a way that will clear to any potential buyer or fellow writer they want to hire for their writer’s room the emotional journey of their protagonists and what story they wish to tell.

Netflix executives will take us through the process and the role of editors, sound designers and VFX artists during the writing process, up until post-production and delivery.

Important: We allow each participant individually to the online environment. So be well on time and come online 15 minutes before the start of each session.
