Charlotte De Bruyne (born in Ghent, September 11, 1990) is a Belgian actress. In 2008, she participated in the production ‘Pubers Bestaan Niet’ by the theater company Ontroerend Goed, of which she has been a permanent member since. As part of the artistic core, she played and co-created performances such as ‘A Game Of You,’ ‘A History Of Everything,’ ‘Fight Night,’ ‘Are we not drawn onward to new erA,’ ‘LIES,’ and ‘Funeral.’ Each of these productions travels around the world in Dutch, English, and French.<\/p>\n
In 2012, she made her debut on the silver screen, starring alongside Line Pillet in the feature film ‘Little Black Spiders’ directed by Patrice Toye. For this performance, she won the Ensor for Best Debut. In February 2014, she played the female lead alongside Jan Decleir in ‘Flying Home’ by Dominique Deruddere, earning her the Ensor for Best Actress. In the following years, she took part in various TV and film projects.<\/p>\n
In 2022, she appeared in ‘Tori et Lokita,’ directed by the Dardenne brothers. In 2023, she stars in “Het Smelt” directed by Veerle Baetens. The new production “Time Quarks All over The Place” by Ontroerend Goed is set to premiere in May 2024.<\/p>\n
