After studying biophysics and living in Japan, she graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy. Her short films <i>Clan<\/i>, <i>Harbour<\/i>, and <i>Eyes on the Road<\/i> premiered at Locarno\u2019s Pardi di Domani.<\/p>\n<p>Her debut feature <i>MELK<\/i> premiered in 2023 at Venice\u2019s Giornate degli Autori and won several awards, including Best Film at Crossing Europe; it was later voted Best Dutch Film of 2024 by the Circle of Dutch Film Journalists.
