Ena Sendijarevi\u0107 maakte naam met haar speelfilmdebuut Take Me Somewhere Nice (2019), die geselecteerd werd voor de ACID sectie van het Cannes filmfestival. De film won onder andere de Speciale Juryprijs op het International Film Festival Rotterdam en de Grand Prix op het Sarajevo Film Festival. Eerder viel zij internationaal op met haar korte film Import, die in 2016 in wereldpremi\u00e8re ging in Cannes’ Directors Fortnight en de Nederlandse inzending voor de Oscars was. Haar tweede speelfilm, Sweet Dreams (2023), beleefde haar premi\u00e8re in de hoofdcompetitie van Locarno\u00a0en won de Pardo voor beste performance. Sweet Dreams is tevens de Nederlandse inzending voor de Oscars.<\/p>\n
