Wednesday 25 March filmmaker Sara Rajaei will give an Artist Talk: Take on Archive Work during Movies That Matter. FilmForward and Beeld&Geluid will share information on the upcoming Vrijplaats Archive during this talk. Let op: de voertaal van dit programma is Engels.
In this Artist Talk, filmmaker Sara Rajaei shares her practice of working with archive materials, giving insights in how found images and forgotten histories shape her filmmaking process. There will be a special focus on her award winning film City of Poets, which she worked on during the first Vrijplaats of FilmForward (Vrijplaats: The New Wilderniss). FilmForward and Beeld&Geluid will also share information on the upcoming Vrijplaats Archive.
Vrijplaats is FilmForward’s annual research trajectory in which filmmakers are given the time and space to pursue a self-chosen research project. This new Vrijplaats is organised in collaboration with Beeld&Geluid and focuses on archives. We invite filmmakers and image researchers who work with archives to apply by Monday 6 April at 13.00.
This Artist Talk is moderated by filmmaker Beri Shalmashi.
