Following the morning masterclass, Intimacy Coordinator David Thackeray will host an interactive Deep Dive on intimacy coordination in film and television. Designed for a small group of directors, actors and Intimacy Coordinators, this afternoon session offers the opportunity to explore the practical application of intimacy coordination in greater depth.

Please note: the language of this programme is English.

There is a limited number of spots available for this Deep Dive. Read more below for information on the application process.

Working with a small group of directors, actors and Intimacy Coordinators, David Thackeray will facilitate an interactive session focused on the practical realities of intimacy coordination. Through demonstrations, discussion and participant case studies, the workshop explores how consent, boundaries, choreography and communication are translated into practice on set.

Over the course of three hours, participants will explore different approaches to preparing and working with intimate scenes, while reflecting on the challenges and decisions that arise during rehearsal and filming. David will share practical methods and insights from his experience, creating space for discussion around collaboration, communication and professional responsibility.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own questions, challenges or examples from productions they have worked on. These can help enrich the conversations about creative collaboration, decision-making and best practices, and create opportunities to exchange perspectives and learn from each other’s professional experiences.

Who is this workshop for?
The Deep Dive is intended for heads of department and crew members who work closely with Intimacy Coordinators and/or are involved in the preparation and filming of intimate or vulnerable scenes. This includes professionals such as actors, directors, Intimacy Coordinators, Directors of Photography (DoPs), 1st Assistant Directors (1st ADs), costume department professionals, and others whose role contributes to creating a safe, collaborative, and artistically strong working environment.

Designed for those directly involved in the creative and practical process of rehearsing and filming intimate scenes, this workshop offers a hands-on and interactive learning experience. To encourage meaningful discussion and individual attention, participation is limited to a small group of approximately sixteen participants.
