Ansgar Frerich started his career in 2002 as a mixing engineer of more than 200 feature cinema films until now, including films of Wim Wenders, Alexander Sokurov and Shirin Neshat. He also mixed the Netflix series Dark and won 3 times the German Academy Awards. In 2013 he co-founded the Basis Berlin Filmproduktion in which he produced 7 full length feature films until now. With Taste of Cement (also Co-Author) and Of Fathers and Sons he produced 2 of the most successful Arabic documentaries in 2017. Ansgar Frerich is a member of the German and European Film Academy and the AMPAS.
