After attending the FESTIVAL STRATEGY Masterclass on March 20, you can participate in the FESTIVAL STRATEGY DEEP DIVE workshop on March 21, with your project in production. In this full-day workshop, you as a director can develop a festival strategy for your project together with your producer or editor in a group.

Festival curator Nikolaj Nikitin will share detailed background information on the range of film festivals that are important for your project. He will provide insight into the developments and increasing importance of festivals in recent years and the agenda and goals of a number of leading film festivals.

Using edited material from your film (possibly no picture lock yet), he will discuss in a group which festival is suitable in terms of curation and programming. He will discuss the following topics:

• What are the possibilities to successfully present your project?
• What is the best way to position your project in the festival circuit and develop an international festival strategy?
• How can you use the festival markets to further develop your project; how to finance your project and find the right artistic and financial partners?
• Register for this workshop. You will need:
  • an edited fragment between 10-15 minutes
  • the fragment must be subtitled in English (if this is a problem, please contact us)
  • a completed registration form with your personal details and production details

After registration, a selection will take place of a maximum of 12 projects with a maximum of 2 participants per project. After the selection, you will be asked to submit your material.
