Patrick Chin is a creator of animation series and films. He was responsible for the tv show Dr. Panda, a show watched by millions of children all around the world, and he’s co-director of Lilly and the Flying Dutchman (Richard Claus, Patrick Chin and Stine Buhl), that will be premiered soon. Chin is also the writer and director of the film FAYA, an animation about Surinamese resistance hero and anti-colonial author Anton de Kom.
Next to his work as a filmmaker, Chin has been actively involved in the animation sector for years. He’s co-initator of Animatie in Kleur, a network of people of colour who are working in the Dutch animation sector. Next to that he’s also co-founder of DAMD, the department for animation, and a board member of the Dutch Academy for Film (DAFF).
Chin is also a guest tutor and coach.
