Annett Schneider began her career in corporate fashion before transitioning to textile work in the costume departments of film studios and theaters. She met Jan at Babelsberg Film Studios, and they have since collaborated on numerous projects, including The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, designed by Trish Summerville. In 2022, Annett and Jan co-hosted a weekend course in Berlin on breakdown techniques for local film crews.
