Rogier Klomp

Rogier Klomp is a visual storyteller. He has created animations for VPRO, worked as a graphic journalist for NRC, and exhibited internationally, including at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, MU Hybrid Art House, DOK Leipzig, and What Design Can Do São Paulo.

His practice spans teaching at art academies, developing curricula, and initiating labs for creative professionals, with a strong focus on visual and experimental forms of feedback.

All his work begins with drawing. Through minimalist, often philosophical sketches, he explores themes such as digital culture, collective intelligence, and consciousness. As one journalist noted: “He draws for you to understand.” For Rogier, drawing is both a way to think and a way to translate ideas into visual stories that resonate with others. His work ranges from small cartoons to gigantic mind maps, from journalistic videos to crowdsourced animations, and from graphic memoirs to interactive workshops.
