Logline: In the bleak Amsterdam of the 1980s, polar opposites Rita and Cora set up De Knalpot, a car repair shop run by and for women, in a squat. Over the next five years, the place grows into a vital base and a close-knit community of liberated (lesbian) women. When the city threatens to close the garage, the women must join forces to save their beloved space.
