Logline: After having a mental breakdown abroad, the successful Sylvester is forced into mandatory group therapy and moves back in with her parents, at age 35. She arrives with a broken heart and an unfortunate face tattoo, eager to return to her “normal” life as quickly as possible. Sylvester prefers to run away from her problems, but manages to struggle through a summer filled with dysfunctional family dynamics and an uneasy search for (self-)love.
Zara Dwinger’s first feature film, Kiddo, had its world premiere at Berlinale 2023.
