masterclass festivalstrategie
Film festivals are essential for promoting and positioning your film. Festivals are also becoming increasingly important for attracting financing and co-production partners and expanding your international network as a professional. But which festival should you submit your film to, which films are festivals currently looking for and how do you make the most of the co-production markets?
What can you expect?
In this masterclass, festival curator Nikolaj Nikitin will take you through the ins and outs of the international festival circuit. He will provide insight into:
- The range of globally relevant A-festivals and their markets, their profiles and goals
- The range of other important international festivals
- Information on curation and programming
- Terms and conditions of the festival
- Required material for application, announcement and successful participation
- The possibilities for visiting the festival and markets
- What festivals can mean for your international network as a professional (professionals from different departments!)
In addition, Nathalie Mierop of SEE NL will give a short presentation on the activities and possibilities of SEE NL. SEE NL is committed to increasing the awareness and visibility of Dutch films in other countries and to strengthening the position of Dutch films on the international market.
For who?
Producers, directors, festival coordinators, (employees of) funds and broadcasters.
Also interesting for Heads of Department such as editors, DOPs, art directors and actors.
