As an industry we are continuously working with questions around inclusion. How do you include diversity and inclusivity in your practice as a filmprofessional? FilmForward dives into these questions with the incompany training Positionality, developed in collaboration with Winnie Roseval (consultant diversity and inclusivity, and researcher at the Haagse Hogeschool).
Positionality is the position you take in society and how you relate to others. In this training we look into this position, your experiences in the av-sector and why for instance some stories are made more visible than others. You take your own project so we can discuss inclusivity while taking this project as an example. Together with your team we will discuss ways to gain more insights for diversity and inclusivity.
With this training we want to contribute to the starting points from the Leidraad Veilig en Gezond Werken Audiovisuele Sector, compiled through the Ketentafel Film / AV.
Interested? Mail to info@filmforward.nl so we can offer a training that’s tailor made to your organisation or project. This training is available until 1 july 2025. Various film festivals, funds, producers and artists have followed this training succesfully in the past.
Any questions? Email them to project manager Addy Otto via addy@filmforward.nl
