Vrijplaats

The Vrijplaats is a FilmForward-sponsored work and thinking space where film professionals are given the time and space to explore their professional practice. The program is designed for personal or in-depth research across various disciplines: whether you’re drawing storyboards, writing screenplays, composing film scores, or developing animations. FilmForward will guide you through this process, along with experienced coaches and experts from the field.

Vrijplaats 2025: Animation

The new FilmForward Vrijplaats was developed in collaboration with the Kaboom Animation Festival and runs from September 2025 to March 2026. This Vrijplaats was open to animation professionals with at least five years of experience. The deadline has now passed: candidates will be notified of the selection in June/July.
